Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith

Code of Conduct

1.                Love Of The LORD          First, last and always, I acknowledge that I am a child of God and I represent our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in everything I do.  My love for the LORD will be evident in my motives and actions.

2.                Love My Neighbor          I will love my neighbor as myself. I will always consider the effect of my words and my actions on my neighbor’s well being. I will follow God’s example, loving all individuals and seeking to bring them to a saving knowledge of the Truth. I will live in such a way that if others followed my example there would be peace and good will among all people.

3.                Spirit-filled living           I will actively work to show that the Holy Spirit governs my life. I will give particular attention to those traits within me that are most difficult for me to show. I will not follow my "nature" into sin, making excuses and rationalizing my inappropriate behavior, but will live by the power of the Spirit to obey the Word of God.

4.                Gossip    I will not gossip (passing on destructive rumors), but will lovingly speak the truth. I will speak words that minister grace and offer a good reputation for others.  I will not be party to character assassinations or ungodly judgment of another’s heart.

5.                God’s Armor          I know that the devil is trying to undermine all the good the Lord has done.  I will put on the full armor of God daily; to protect myself from the devil’s attempts to weaken my walk.  I will flee any situation that threatens me and call on the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to assist others whenever attacked. 

6.                Alcohol    While representing WCCA in any way, I will not consume alcoholic beverages in public.  I will not use or advocate the use or possession of any illegal or illicit substances, as such behavior is not righteous in the eyes of our Lord, and may cause others to stumble.

7.                Faithfulness          I will remain faithful to my spouse and our covenant relationship.  I will not participate in or advocate any behavior that may be deemed impure or lustful.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe that there is one eternal God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose in-dwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; either they are saved unto the resurrection of life or they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that God ordained the family as the basic unit of our society and that through the spiritual church family we can actively demonstrate the love of God to one another.
